Jerry & Marilyn Farnik are eager to welcome an English Camp team to the Czech Republic next summer! Travel dates are July 11-24, 2023.
What’s Involved?
Serve at a week-long family camp in beautiful Central Europe. Czech campers — of all ages and walks of life — are sorted into classes by age and English ability, and the American team teaches English lessons each morning. In addition to standard vocabulary themes, reading and conversation lessons are drawn from Bible stories. Afternoons and evenings are spent on day trips, crafts, sports, conversations, singing, skits, and bonfires. What a tremendous opportunity to present the Word of God, and to follow classroom lessons with personal interactions all week long!
Who should apply?
Men and women, young and old, who are willing to teach English, organize crafts and sports, and just generally interact with Czechs of all ages, for the sake of the gospel, at a weeklong family summer camp. It takes preparation to serve, but you don’t have to be a professional teacher to be an excellent addition to the team. The best English Camp team is united by their love for the Lord and diverse in their talents and interests — like the body of Christ in your local congregation!
English Camp teams have partnered with the Farniks many times since 2004, under the direction of the session at Bayview OPC in Chula Vista, CA.
