I think this experience helped with my comfort level in talking to people about Christ. I had never really told anyone about Him before this. When they started asking questions, I was happy because it helped them to learn about God and it helped me see that it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it might be . . .
Jesus commands us to go out and make disciples. We must be bold in proclaiming the gospel. I really enjoyed my time at the Boardwalk Chapel and I was definitely strengthened and encouraged. I really hope I can come next year . . .
As we drove back to Wildwood, we spent some time praising God for the fruitful conversations we’d shared in and praying for the people we’d talked to . . .
My wife, Natalie, and I joined the caravan of high-schoolers heading down to Wildwood, New Jersey. In God’s providence, our trip to the Boardwalk Chapel taught us not only about the youth group, but also about the value of short-term mission trips . . .
The evangelism training my team and I received in Key West inspired me to be “bold and courageous,” and to have peace in my heart knowing that the God who is the God of my life is also the God of the lives of the people I’m witnessing to . . .
God provided me with an amazing team and an amazing co-leader, Kathleen Winslow. This team of eleven young adults and Kathleen were more than anyone could ask for, they were willing, efficient, loving, kind, diligent, God fearing, and God honoring . . .
This summer I got to experience short-term missions from a new perspective—as a Missionary Associate in the Czech Republic who had been on the field for a full twelve months before the summer STM teams arrived . . .
The English Camp team – a wonderful group of believers from several different states, united by a strong desire to help Czechs learn English and give them an opportunity to hear the Gospel. Team Praha – twelve energetic and very musical, young Christians from Arizona, California, and Washington . . .
I prayed that God would give me the courage to be bold, and God answered my prayers! Not only did He give me the courage to have serious conversations about salvation, relationships, and life after death, but He also gave the Czech teens the courage to have those conversations with me . . .
The Sunset Celebration takes place every evening, and there are a number of different vendors and acts that are there to attract the locals and tourists who show up. This means that there are a lot of “distractions” from Bill’s message, but as he says, there is no real competition . . .
I wanted to more boldly share the gospel with them since my time was running out. That week, I asked my church to pray for me to not waste my words during the final week that I had left in Asia….God opened the door for a conversation about the Bible and allowed me to share the good news of His
Montevideo, Uruguay, is a cosmopolitan city where atheism abounds. It was winter which, in my opinion, matched the spiritual darkness or apathy of the people toward God. It was really an eye-opener for me to see the hard work our missionaries have to do in this country . . .
God opened the door for English Camp and made it clear that there was a need I could fill. The format of English Camp provides an incredible way to share the gospel while giving the Czechs a valuable skill . . .
I (used to) have a very small, enclosed bubble of what I was comfortable doing and who I was comfortable talking to. Going on the trip would mean essentially popping that bubble and doing things far outside my comfort zone . . .
TEAM UTAH 2017: This trip was something I was nervous about because I felt like I didn’t have enough experience, but I was blessed with an amazing team who patiently taught me everything I needed to know . . .

The most important thing I took away from these experiences were the relationships I made. The people of Menominee OPC will always be dear to me. In my other teammates, I found some of the best friends and mentors I could ever hope for . . .
The Lord blessed the English camp exceedingly abundantly and I pray that he will water and grow the many seeds that were planted that week, and that those seeds may grow into an abundant harvest for His glory . . .
I was stressed at first because I’d never done anything like this before, but they took me in, made me feel like I was part of the team, and suddenly all the stress was gone! Some of the team members brought lessons, others did crafts, it was amazing . . .
There is an amazing sense of God’s purpose, guidance, and provision when we step onto His mission field. He holds our hands in such a fatherly way . . .
One of the great highlights of the trip was just getting to know the Hopps. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like part of the family…
I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we had a time we will never forget! Daily working for the Lord, praying, learning, singing, performing skits, living like a little family, were just some of the highlights of the week . . .
Dust. Mount Sinai. Peanut butter. Singing. Ten commandments. Duck, duck, goose. A lot goes on at Vacation Bible School . . .
“Venture Missions” is a growing experience for high school and college students who want to grow closer to Christ and gain experience spreading the gospel. The beautiful Menominee Indian Reservation is full of friendly people, but it is a place that needs the gospel . . .
I loved it! I found it was a great opportunity to serve and to be an example of what a life with Jesus looks like. I also enjoyed being part of a team of all different ages and I learned from my team and was greatly encouraged by them as well . . .
Team Uruguay’s trip to Montevideo was a blessed adventure! Despite the many unknowns and broad unpredictability, it was a wonderful growing experience of faith, teamwork, and encouragement …
A team of 5 adults from Delta Oaks OPC (Pittsburg, CA) is helping with “English Club” outreach in Montevideo, Uruguay, July 4-7, during the “winter break” there! Pray that the Lord would fill our “classrooms” for this event, and that he would glorify His name through the salvation of souls . . .
My class included children from traditional Quebecois homes as well as children whose families hailed from places as far away as Haiti, Madagascar, Albania, Tanzania, Burundi, and China. “English For Kids” has three goals (in this order): Fun, speaking English, and learning the Bible . . .
What a great idea it was to start each craft explanation by reading them something from my Bible! On the day we were going to make shields, my morning reading included Psalm 18, so I was able to say to them, “As I was reading my Bible this morning, God brought me to Psalm 18, which talks about God being
As a senior citizen working with these young people, it was a challenge to keep up and keep connecting. But God did it! Each day I had the energy and ideas I needed to love these kids and apply the gospel. It was a joyful experience for me and a great opportunity for me to use gifts that should not
English for Kids 2017 (St-Georges)
I think this year topped any other year that I have been on this trip. Seeing old friends, meeting new ones, working with the kids in my class for eight hours a day, and serving our Lord and Savior . . .
Venture Missions 2017
While these camps contribute to our mission in the province of Quebec, we also desire that each mission team member might grow in his relationship with the heavenly Father, in love for brothers and sisters from different Churches and countries, and in passion for the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ . . .
Although the impoverishment in Haiti is very grievous, the power of God’s gospel is even greater! Furthermore, the joy of the Haitian kids was inspirational . . .
I found our mission trip to Key West extremely encouraging. I really enjoyed going to Mallory Square and helping Bill Welzien witness to people. Also, our afternoon snorkeling was one of the highlights of the trip . . . . It was a great time of learning and fellowship . . .
As the minutes ticked by and the time was getting closer for me to stand up and open-air preach, my throat grew parched and my palms sweaty. Bill had prepared me for this, and yet, I still had knees knocking, with an anxiety about being ready . . .
Pete Onink and his daughter Jessica drove down from Illinois…Mark and Patti Palmer from Alabama joined them…David and Donna Taylor from Bradenton were vacationing nearby and came to pitch in…
