One of the reasons for the visit to Juba in South Sudan was to talk to the brothers in the Sudanese Reformed Church (SRC) about the possibility of having their young men trained at the OPC’s Knox School of Theology, established and run by the OP Uganda Mission in Mbale. Amidst this burst of physical exhaustion, the Spirit fills us up. On a personal level, there is no way to survive the summer intact without fleeing to the feet of the God we walk the boards to proclaim. This reliance on Christ as well as our brothers and sisters in Christ brings joy-filled fellowship . . .
We had such a great experience spending time with Bill and learning from him. We came home wanting to know God’s word better and with a renewed desire to tell others about the good news of Jesus Christ . . .
I’m also thankful for Christian teens showing strong ability to learn, adapt, and serve in their first tough leadership experiences. Planning, teaching and managing a classroom of kids is an adult tasks, and the learning curve is very steep as these teens adapt to the challenge day by day . . .
Praise God for another successful English Camp this summer in the Ukraine! We had an absolute blast with students practicing English, playing sports and games, and discussing God’s truth, all in the beautiful Carpathian Mountains of Western Ukraine . . .
Where might one find himself having more gospel conversations with unbelievers, even professed atheists, in the course of one week than possibly the rest of the year combined? For me, that would describe my time here at the English Camp in the Czech Republic . . .

NEW HORIZONS, October 2012: On July 9, 2012, a group of more than thirty people came from nine churches across the country to transform the inside, outside, and grounds of New Covenant OPC in South San Francisco, California . . .
GRACE OPC, GERMANTOWN, PA (2012): Where there was discouragement, the crew brought encouragement and fellowship (especially to the pastor and his family!) Where saints felt isolated and alone, the lingering impact of this crew’s presence brought an increase of traffic that made it clear that we had a new and more visible presence in the community . . .
BARRE, VT (2012): In response to a request for a team to paint a house, eight men from Harvest OPC in Wyoming, Michigan, drove to Barre, Vermont. The homeowner was extremely grateful for this outpouring of Christian love from the missionary team from Harvest.
Thanks for praying for the team. We know the sacrifice of the churches and other supporters is not in vain as the teams come alongside us to further the work of the church and the preaching of the gospel . . .
We had other plans for the summer – but God had one that was better than anything we could have imagined. Our work at the Chapel has given us a deeper appreciation for missions and evangelism . . .
