In May 2015, a team of men from OPC churches across the United States traveled to Haiti to do repairs on the mission homes. Two men from Lake Sherwood OPC in Orlando, Florida -- Raun Treible and John Flynn -- spent 3 days at the home of our missionaries Octavius and Marie Delfils in Port-au-Prince, helping rectify issues with the plumbing and electrical systems of the house.

The Lord was good in sending two men with plenty of experience in home repair to help buy supplies and do the repairs. Despite the challenges of finding good quality parts, they were able to spend the time replumbing sinks, installing fans, rewiring the generator and correcting electrical problems. The Delfils' also have new batteries for their inverter system that allows them to power the house when the very unreliable city power is not on.

The Delfils’ family are grateful not only for the work these two men accomplished, but also for the fellowship they enjoyed together.  They also express their thanks to the Committee on Diaconal Ministries and the Committee on Foreign Missions who made the project possible financially.
